Logo size checker
Choose your logo file to see how it looks as a browser-tab icon, an app icon and a round profile picture, on light and dark backgrounds. The checker tells you which uses it is ready for and what to fix. It runs in your browser, so your file never leaves your device.
PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or SVG. You can also drop the file here.
Your file stays on your device: the check runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
What does the checker look at?
The size, the shape and whether the background is transparent, and then each place a logo usually goes: the favicon Google shows in browser tabs and search results, the Apple touch icon, the App Store icon, social media profile pictures, link previews and print. The numbers are the ones in our logo sizes guide, which links to each official source. Platforms change their requirements, so check the source before an app submission or a large print run.
A wide logo failing the square checks is normal. It means you need a second, square version for icons and profile pictures, usually the symbol alone or your first letter.
Frequently asked questions
Is my logo uploaded anywhere?
No. The checker opens the file in your browser and measures it there. Nothing is sent to our servers, so you can check a logo that isn't public yet.
Which file should I check?
Check each version you plan to use: the wide one for your website header, the square one for icons and profile pictures, and the one-colour one if you have it. A square version is what favicons, app icons and profile pictures need.
Why does my SVG show no pixel size?
SVG is a vector format: it is drawn from shapes, not pixels, so it scales to any size without losing quality. The checker treats it as passing every size check, but still shows the shape and the previews.
Where do the size rules come from?
From Google's favicon guidelines, Apple's guidance on touch icons and App Store icons, and Meta's guidance on link preview images. Our logo sizes guide links to each source and explains the numbers.
